Paracress (Acmella oleracea) is a small flowering plant native to South America, used for centuries in traditional medicine for its natural muscle-relaxing properties.
In skincare, its active compound Spilanthol has been examined in clinical research for its ability to gently moderate the micro-contractions of underlying facial muscles, which over time deepen into the wrinkles around your eyes, mouth, and jaw.
Parācress™ is formulated at 5% Acmella oleracea extract, the concentration used in clinical studies assessing Paracress as a topical anti-ageing ingredient. In those studies, visible improvement in wrinkle depth in periorbital and perioral areas was observed after 14 days of twice-daily application.
What to expect

On first application, most people notice a subtle smoothing effect. This is partly Pullulan, a naturally derived ingredient that forms a light film on the skin's surface, and partly Spilanthol beginning to do its work beneath it.
